Huge thanks to Jacko (Steve Jackson) at BBC Radio Cambridgeshire for inviting me on to Tuesday Night Sport (TNS), his evening sports show this week.

We chatted about my skiing career and ambitions to become a World Cup competitor and Winter Olympic medalist, plus my ongoing fundraising challenges.
It was my first time in a radio studio and a great experience to meet local Cambridgeshire sports commentators Ollie Slack and Andy Abbott, plus Simon Fairhall from Living Sport.

The questions I was asked were pretty varied, covering my GB training camp schedule, calorie intake and love hate relationship with chicken and pasta, extreme cold and the state of my drinks cabinet (no, it doesn’t feature Green Chartreuse!).

Jacko seemed a little alarmed when I mentioned that ideal conditions for slalom and GS are pretty much sheet ice and shocked that a typical training day starts at 4am. It’ll be good to catch up with him later in the season and let all the TNS show listeners know how I’m getting on.

You can listen again until the end of November.
